Everyday Extraordinary
Wrigley Mansion, a breathtaking landmark originally constructed in 1932 by chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr., was thoughtfully designed as a 50th-anniversary gift to his beloved wife, Ada. Sitting at the top of a hill, The Mansion commands the most dramatic views in Phoenix, showcasing the mountains and the city below. Its architecture includes curated elements of Spanish, California Monterey, and Mediterranean styles. Original tiles still grace The Mansion, having been shipped from the Wrigley family’s tile factory on Catalina Island and carted up the hill by donkey.
Once sold by the Wrigley family in 1973, it changed hands several times. In 1992, as the city of Phoenix was planning to tear it down to make room for condos, the late Geordie Hormel and his wife, Jamie, fell in love with the property and purchased it. Together they restored it with the intention of sharing its inherent magic with everyone. Extensive renovations were completed in 2021 and today, the Wrigley Mansion remains a premier fine dining and special event venue. It houses Geordie’s Restaurant and Lounge, Jamie’s Wine Bar, and Christopher’s at Wrigley Mansion.
A strong team heads up Geordie’s kitchen with Chef de Cuisine CJ Kahley and Pastry Chef Jolie Skwiercz, providing beautiful dishes that satisfy every taste. Behind our outstanding wine program is Wine Director Jason Caballero, who continues to build on a wine cellar with more than 12,000 bottles and that consistently earns the prestigious Wine Spectator award, "Best of Award of Excellence" as well as Wine Enthusiast’s "America’s Best 100 Wine Restaurants" award.
Wrigley Mansions offers tours, dinner, live jazz Fridays, Sunday Brunch, and a delicious bar menu. Private dining is available in a number of intimate, newly remodeled rooms that were once the private quarters of the Wrigley family.
Opened in 2021, Christopher’s at the Wrigley Mansion is located in an adjacent all-glass building. James Beard award-winning Chef Christopher Gross and his team offer a unique dining experience in a spectacular setting, with those who are cooking your food, serving your food. Menu options vary by the day of the week, with an 8-course tasting menu and Christopher’s Classics mid-week. The works of many local artisans are everywhere, only serving to help highlight the unparalleled views of the mountains and city.
