The Tramp (1915)
- Charlie Chaplin is portrayed here as his well known character the 'Tramp'. The Tramp was a character Chaplin created in the film Kid Auto Races at Venice (1914), and went on to feature in more than 50 films including The Kid (1921), City Lights (1931) and Modern Times in 1936
- Chaplin's home on Summit Drive in Beverly Hills was known as Breakaway House, because it began falling to bits over the years. It was designed by Chaplin himself and built by studio carpenters. Film stars, politicians, musicians and royalty from the world over would come over to meet and play tennis with Chaplin
- The famous scene in The Gold Rush (1925), where Chaplin's character & Big Jim, eat a boot, took three days and 63 takes to get director Chaplin's approval. The boot was made of licorice, and both Mack Swain and Charlie were very sick by the end of it
