James Dean
- Famous for his roles in East of Eden (1955), Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Giant (1956), Dean had one of the most spectacularly brief careers of any screen star. In just over a year he became a widely admired screen idol, and the personification of the restless American youth of the mid 1950s
- Dean's promising career came to an abrupt end when, at the age of 24, he was killed in a tragic car crash in California. In 2005, the intersection of Highways 41 and 46 were named in honor of the star. He received two posthumous Oscar nominations for his first and last screen performances, East of Eden (1955) and Giant (1956)
- Dean was issued with a speeding ticket in Kern County only two hours and 15 minutes before the crash that took his life
