• Prior to filming, the 6'3" Hemsworth spent three months at the gym to gain the 20 lbs of muscle required to transform into the character of Thor. He won the role over his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth
• Coming from a starring role in the soap opera Home and Away, the Australian star moved to the United States in 2009. He began capturing such notable roles as 'George Kirk' in Star Trek (2009) and 'The Huntsman' in Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)
