This statuary of the three nymphs was created for the opening of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery Columbarium Rotunda in the 1920's. The sculptor's model was acclaimed actress, Louise Fazenda.
Beyond her bathing beauty status, she was known as a wacky comedienne with odd costumes and make-up. Her career began in early silent comedies for Mack Sennett and Universal's Joker Unit. She appeared in 147 films including "Mike and Jake at the Beach" in 1913, "Goldiggers of 1923" and her last film was "Old Maid"1939. She married famed Producer, Hal Wallis who gave us many classics such as, "Casablanca" and "Yankee Doodle Dandy" 1942. They had one adopted son.
