Ever been to a moose lodge?
They're all over the place - They have lodges in like 1500 cities and have over a million members. They're not just some bar people go to - they have a purpose: to raise money for orphans. Specifically mooseheart.

Mooseheart Child City and School
A 1,000-acre campus, located 40 miles west of Chicago. The child city is a home for kids in need from infancy through high school. Children live in one of thirty residences designed like spacious single-family homes. Each residence is home for six to twelve children.

Mooseheart cares for the youth whose families are unable to. The men and women of the Moose, provide the resources necessary to care for children in need.

Thank you Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose!

James J. Davis
Who later would serve as Secretary of Labor to three Presidents, then 14 years in the U.S. Senate – agreed late in 1906 to take on the job of recruiting members into the then-faltering Moose organization, on the basis of eventually using members' pooled resources to create a home and school where dependent widows of Moose members could take their children.

The Moose is about celebrating life together, serving those in need within our local community, supporting our children at Mooseheart and standing by our senior members at Moosehaven.

Did you know the first moose lodge was in 1888 in Louisville, Kentucky?
