Brad Pitt first achieved recognition as J.D., the hitchhiking charmer in Thelma & Louise (1991). He has since won a Golden Globe and been nominated for two Oscars as Best Supporting Actor for Twelve Monkeys (1995) and Best Actor in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008). He is well known for hit movies like Meet Joe Black (1998), Fight Club (1999), Ocean's Eleven (2001) and Babel (2006)
In addition to acting Pitt also runs Plan B Entertainment. A production company based in Hollywood, it counts Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and The Departed (2006) amongst its production successes
Pitt and Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh made her first cameo appearance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) appearing as Cate Blanchett's daughter
