Portrayed from 1931

Bela Lugosi

As Dracula (1931)

He [Dracula] has, at times, infused me with prosperity and, at other times, he has drained me of everything.

Hungarian-born actor Bela Lugosi was an infantry soldier in World War I before becoming 'Dracula,' first in the Broadway version and later in the 1931 classic.
After his death, his family buried him wearing his black vampire cape.
Did you know the giant spider webs in Dracula's castle were made by shooting rubber cement from a rotary gun?

Born Bela Ferenc Dezs on October 20, 1882 in Lugos, Hungary
Died August 16, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A
