From another unforgettable MGM musical, "The Unsinkable Mollie Brown," which won her an Academy Award nomination, Debbie sings: "I'll Never Say No." "I Want To Be Loved By You" is her gift from "Three Little Words," the musical in which she made her MGM debut as the "boop-boo-a-doop girl," Helen Kane. Two ballads, "Am I That Easy To Forget" and "Give A Little Love" are also included, so is the hauntingly lovely 'Home In The Meadow" from still another MGM musical, the gigantic "How The West Was Won." It is the winning of the public by Debbie Reynolds since her high school days as "Miss Burbank" that is the phenomenon of show business. Fresh from school, she played her first motion picture role in Warner Bros. "The Daughter of Rosie O'Grady," and continued her career as one of MGM's brightest and freshest stars until she challenged the toughest and roughest street in the world - Broadway. She came, she was seen, she conquered to make the New York musical "Irene," one of the biggest successes ever to shine across the footlights, to break every Broadway record. As New Yorkers jammed the Minskoff Theatre, Debbie Reynolds romped, danced and sang - generating enough wattage to recharge the entire nation's energy shortage - and - as someone commented: "To run a steam engine to Hollywood and back."
