Boskovich Farms Since 1915
Since 1915
Since 1915, the name Boskovich has been synonymous with fresh quality produce. It all began when Stephen Boskovich, a young Croatian immigrant, began farming on seven acres of land in California's San Fernando Valley.

Today, four generations later, Boskovich Farms is still family owned and operated. We grow on more than 15,000 acres in California and Mexico, producing about 30 different vegetable crops year-round, with shipping points also in Salinas, California, and Yuma, Arizona. Our product line-up includes a wide variety of fresh produce available year-round. In addition, our processing division, Boskovich Fresh Cut, provides a diverse line of retail and foodservice items.

We've been a part of Ventura County since 1990, employing approximately 500 workers, and producing nearly 6,000 crop acres in the county. Our fresh produce is shipped to retailers, wholesalers, food service operators, distributors, club stores, food manufacturers and brokers across the U.S. and globally.

Over the years, Boskovich farms has built a reputation based on quality, integrity and our ability to deliver the finest produce in North America. From planting through shipping, we monitor and oversee every one of our products and perform every possible part of the job in-house. That's why we're an industry leader in things like green onions, radishes and spinach.

Boskovich Farms:
Every generation of Boskovich farmers back to 1915 has come up with innovations that have made them more productive and helped produce higher quality products. It also helped preserve the life that we have loved. Discoveries have included everything from stemming soil depletion to creating the first 100% home compostable packaging. And we are proud of that. Not because our farm depended on that kind of breakthrough thinking for survival, but because the next generation does.

History
Stephen Boskovich started his farm in the San Fernando Valley in 1915. Between then and now we’ve grown from a 7-acre plot to more than 18,000 growing acres in California, Arizona, Nevada and Mexico.

Today
We’ve expanded our produce offerings to over 150 items. We ushered in a 12-month growing season. And we were early pioneers in adapting to lifestyle changes and the need for fresh cut produce ... a major innovation benefiting both busy families and food service clients. We consolidated headquarters and our fresh cut packing operation for the sake of economy and efficiency. We’ve learned everything there is to know (so far) about land management and sustainability, adding an organic line. And we’re tackling the crisis of overflowing landfills with new compostable packaging. Plus a lot more.

FOOD SAFETY When you decide to become a farmer, you take a sacred oath. Every farmer pledges to protect the health and safety of consumers, and the well-being of the planet. We have an awesome responsibility to our clients whose reputation is on the line. And at Boskovich, we accept that. We embrace it. We are fanatic about this. We have to be.
