From All-Star outfielder to pinch-hit specialist to the longest-tenured coach in club history, Manny Mota has enjoyed a career of more than a half-century with the Dodgers. The Dominican Republic native compiled a .304 batting average in 20 seasons with the Giants, Pirates, Expos, and Dodgers. When Mota retired as an active player in 1980, he held the MLB record for most career pinch hits (150).
