Norm Larker
1st Base / Outfield
In his second year with the Dodgers, Norm came into his own as a hitter and proved a very valuable member of manager Walter Alston's bench. Besides batting a respectable .289, Norm also filled in at first base and the outfield. One of baseball's most industrious players, Norm spent 10 years in the minor leagues before reaching the Dodgers in 1958. Norm's best year in the majors came in 1960 when he hit .323 and was named the most valuable Dodger. Norm also saw service with the Astros, Braves and Giants.
